Marriage Monday - Our Moment

Image
After the ceremony, we waited for all of the guests to file out and we had our own little moment together alone. It was so fun to just look at each other and smile and laugh and hug. I think I knew at the time that the photographer was in the doorway taking a picture, but until we got the proofs back, I had forgotten. This one made us both tear up. :)

Marriage Monday - Ceremony

Last week's blog was supposed to be about the program and this week was supposed to be about the ceremony, but they are basically one in the same, so here goes. I made the programs. They took me a long time. This is the best picture I have of it, because the photographer forgot to get a photo of it. I was pretty proud of them. I thought they were cute. They fanned out with three pages. The front page was the ceremony program, the middle was the wedding party, and the last page was the "In Memory" page. They were held together with fancy pronged thingies--I had several different kinds, so each one was a little different. The corners were rounded and that took foreverrrrr. I kind of miss doing crafty things! From the picture, you can tell what the ceremony was like. I was lucky enough to basically wordsmith the entire thing myself, with Philip's go-ahead, of course. Our officiants (and my friends) were very gracious and just let me do what I wanted to do.

Marriage Monday - Ceremony Music

Missed last week's Marriage Monday... was partying it up in Vegas! Next week will sort of have two topics. Well, I'm annoyed because I can no longer figure out how to embed YouTube videos into my blog. So that's super frustrating. I wanted to have each video in this blog entry, but I guess that ain't happening. I pretty much knew what music I wanted for the ceremony for a long time. I am a lover of movie scores. I just generally love the music in films. It sets the tone, and so I knew that I wanted to include several songs from movies that I love. I didn't know it, but the musicians played one of my favorite songs from Legends of the Fall as part of the prelude, called "The Ludlows." I had also suggested "All You Need is Love" for the prelude because I love it in Love Actually . I didn't hear it get played, because I was downstairs hyperventilating. :) My brother lit the candles and the grandmas and Philip's parents walked into
