Life for now is getting more into a settled mode, I think. It's refreshing because for the past couple of weeks things have been crazy. In a few more weeks it'll be back to normal in basically every way.
The book at work was really overwhelming for a little while. We sent it off to the publisher to approve some sample pages, and then when we get the go-ahead we can send the entire thing. I will be scared, but it'll be nice when it's completely off my hands. We had two graduations in the past two weeks. The old residents are done and the new ones arrive in a week. So, this week at work will be cleaning and tiding up and getting everything prepared for the new group. Once the new group starts, things will settle down quite a bit.
And school started. I have yet to kind of find a schedule to get everything done. By the time class is over on Wednesday night, it basically already feels like the weekend and then I only have 1-2 days to finish reading for the next class! It's pretty crazy, but hopefully I find some kind of balance soon. The two classes are going to be a lot of work this semester. I had to take off Wednesday afternoon this week to get things done for class. If it gets to be too much, I might have to talk to Bill to going to four days a week and having Fridays off or something. It's an option now with the economy to go to a four day work-week if we can afford it--ya know, give the company a break here and there. Cheree is already only working four days a week. So we'll see. The pay cut won't be spectacular, but the time might be more needed than the income.
I can't believe that it's already almost September. Time goes by way too quickly. It feels like it should maybe be... April? May? It'll be Christmas before we know it and then the year will be over. But then it'll be time for me to go to England, so maybe time going by quickly right now is not all a bad thing.
It is a beautiful day out today. Perfect, really. I planted mums in my pots that have been empty since last summer. I will hopefully get to spend some time reading on the porch this afternoon. Off to do laundry.
Cheers!
