Today's List (Day 19):
Inventions I Wish Were Real

1. Hermione's Time Turner.
2. Food that burns calories (ha!).
3. A teleporter? Really just some sort of contraption where I'm here one moment and then miles away the next. This would eliminate travel time and I'd be able to see my boyfriend every day and go to the beach whenever I wanted. (Is that what a teleporter is?)

I'm feeling kind of weird today... like really anti-social.

So... update on the office situation: It's going to be six weeks until I can move into my new office. I was hoping it was going to be sooner, but it won't happen until the renovations on the other side of the office suite are done because the cashier is currently occupying the space that will be my office. I was so confused because she moved in--and I mean, really moved in. Even though it's temporary, she was unpacking decorations and pictures and arranging things as if she was going to be there for months. But anyway, I'm over it. I was just excited that I would have my own space soon and was caught off-guard to learn that it won't be until the end of October.

This weekend was fun, though it turned out to be not exactly what we thought. Friday night Philip came over and we had his birthday celebration. We went to Firehouse and got these open-face sandwiches that were delectable. We will definitely be going back! He opened his presents and seemed pleased. Then we ate a giant cookie and hung out all night.

We drove up to Aurora on Saturday morning and had a little trouble finding the H&M store because it was inside of a huge mall, which we weren't expecting. The traffic was pretty bad, but we made it eventually! I wish that we had an H&M here because I just love it. I was a little overwhelmed by it--I really could have spent like five hours looking at everything. All I got was a white tank top with little eyeletted ruffles at the top, a pair of sunglasses like the ones I broke in England, and some brown and cream colored bracelets... totaling $27.

The parking lot at the Chicago Premier Outlets was insane. There was a guy directing traffic and people were just driving around looking for spots because there were literally none. We happened to get really lucky and randomly found one close to the entrance. The place was crazy busy! It felt like Christmas time or something. There were a lot of stores that we went into--I only bought a $12 shirt from Gap and some pretty awesome shoes from Kenneth Cole for Philip. We had anticipated that it would take us hours to go to all the stores, but we were done by 4:00 pm and so we just drove home after that. (We were going to stay up there and then drive home on Sunday.) The British-accented GPS took us on the scenic route home, but we got back successfully with goodies in tow.

I would probably make that drive a couple of times a year just go to that H&M store (though I would find a different way to get there... one without so much traffic). I wish that we would've spent more time in the other mall too, because there were stores there that the outlet mall didn't have. We'll have to go back soon!
