This past weekend was just lovely. Philip came over after he got off of work on Saturday. He came up the stairs with flowers in his hands, for no reason other than he is a very sweet fiance!

I was putting the flowers in a vase in the kitchen while Philip was looking at my wall calendar. I came over to look with him and he pointed to Sunday, May 13 and said, "I'm gonna come over and stay on this day because I start work here on that Monday. Is that okay?" I said, "Of course that's okay," while not quite understanding why he would come over on a Sunday if he had to work in Peoria on Monday. Not a very long visit! And then he goes, "You didn't hear me. Because I start work here on that Monday." It didn't take long for it to register that he meant HERE, as in Bloomington.

I was so excited! I hugged and squeezed him and just couldn't believe it, because it feels like we've been battling the distance FOREVER. Well, we have, really! And we'll finally be in the same town and the same house with the same schedule!!!

It was a very cute surprise, because he was supposed to find out by the end of the week. I texted him on Friday asking if he had any news from Chestnut and he totally lied saying that he would call them on Monday to find out what was up. Buuut he had already found out that he was offered the job on Thursday! So we celebrated a little on Saturday night by going to Firehouse Pizza and then Cold Stone.

Another happy thing on Saturday was that my engagement ring and wedding band came in. I've been missing my engagement ring for three weeks; it had to be resized. Here's a pic of both rings together, because I'm sure once I actually have the wedding band on my band, I won't have time to take a pic of it! (But if I do, I'll def post another one, because I love them!)

They are both a little big and since they aren't soldered yet, but they don't fit well together. They are so beautiful and sparkly! (Why do my fingers look like elephant skin? Gross.)
We went to Men's Wearhouse on Sunday to see what they could offer in the way of suits for Philip and his guys for the wedding. We were both disappointed right off because the tux that we liked costs $215 to rent. The first guy wasn't helpful at all, but then another guy fitted Philip in jackets and was very knowledgeable. Once we picked a jacket, we then talked shirts and ties and we got the whole ensemble together haha. If the other guys are open to buying a suit, we'll go that route. It's cheaper to buy one than to rent... from Men's Wearhouse, at least, and for the style and cut that we want. Philip looked so cute! I'm excited to have that nailed down.

And one more thing--last night we went to Suzi Davis to book our honeymoon! I am sooooo excited for this. We're going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and we're staying at a Secrets resort. It'll be amaze-balls!
